HOLY WEEK
Tuesday, April 4th: Chrism Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral @ 10:30 am; the blessing of our Holy Oils in our sacramental life.
Thursday, April 6th: St. Patrick’s Parish Mass @ 7 pm; We remember the Passover feast of the Jewish people and the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples. We have the re-enactment of the washing of the feet, a reminder that all Christians are called to love and serve others.
Friday, April 7th: St. Patrick’s Parish-2:30 pm Stations of the Cross followed by the Good Friday Service @ 3 pm; We come together in church to remember what Jesus has done for us.
Saturday, April 8th: St. Patrick’s Parish Holy Saturday Mass @ 8 pm; on this day, the body of Jesus lay in the guarded tomb and the frightened disciples hid behind locked doors. In the Church, Holy Saturday is a quiet day, the great Sabbath rest. The paschal fast continues and we avoid entertainment and distractions, as on Good Friday. The Easter vigil has 4 distinct stages: Light service; the liturgy of the word; Christian Initiation-renewal of our baptismal promises; Eucharist.
Sunday, April 9th: St. Patrick’s Easter Mass @ 9:00 am; the joyful celebration of our Lord’s rising continues. Alleluia! meaning “praise to God!” is our shout of joy.

MARCH
MONTH DEDICATED TO
St. Joseph
Hail, Guardian of The Redeemer
Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. To you God entrusted his only Son; in you, Mary placed her trust; with you Christ became man. Blessed Joseph, to us too, show yourself a father and guide us in the path of life. Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage, and defend us from every evil. AMEN
